New Delhi: St. Stephen's College is all set to come up with business education, officials declared on Monday. With the creation of the St. Stephen's Institute for Management Excellence (SSIME), the college has decided to extend its horizon to business education as well.
Sanjay Saigal, who is an alumnus and business education entrepreneur, as its director, SSIME's first offeringthe Accelerated Development Programme (ADP) for mid-career professionalsis likely to start in October this year.
The institute will also offer training and research in business management.
Valson Thampu, Principal, St. Stephen's College said that throughout its history, St. Stephen's College has simultaneously deepened and extended its educational mission while consolidating academic strength and societal relevance. As the landscape of employment evolves beyond administration, the need for world-class business and entrepreneurship education has become increasingly critical. And that SSIME is their response to that need.
The Accelerated Development Programme (ADP) has been created in partnership with the Jones School of Business at Rice University in Houston (Texas).
