AMU's Food Craft Institute opens admissions for new session

Aligarh: The Food Craft Institute under the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is inviting applications fro admission to various courses that it offers in the field of hospitality education.

"The institute was established in 1984 in the campus of the University Polytechnic and has successfully completed 26 years sine its inception," said S. Iqbal Ali, Acting Secretary of the institute.

The institute is currently offering 8 postgraduate diploma, Diploma and Certificate Courses affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Noida, while the affiliation of Postgraduate Diploma Courses is under process.

The institute boasts of a good number of students having received employment at reputed hotels and also in railways and other agencies in India and abroad after undergoing the industrial training at different hotels.

S. Iqbal Ali said that students can get the admission form and prospectus for the new academic session from the office of the Institute. Admissions are offered on the basis of merit to the candidates having passed Graduation/Intermediate or 10+2/High School Examinations. The age limit is relaxable for the candidates of SC/ST/OBC.
