Ketan Desai suspended from B J Medical College
AHMEDABAD, May 9: Medical Council of India President Ketan Desai, arrested on graft charge, has been suspended from the post of Head of Department of Urology at a government-run medical college here, a senior official said today. Desai has been suspended from B J Medical college as he being a government servant has been arrested by the CBI on charge of corruption, Principal Secretary Health Rajesh Kishore told PTI. “Once the CBI provides us its report, we will be able to decide as to what action could be taken against Desai as per rules,” he said. When asked if the government has accepted Desai’s resignation, Kishore said it was not accepted. Desai had sent his resignation by post a couple of days ago to the Dean of B J Medical College, which he had forwarded to the State government. (PTI)
