Bangalore: An essential aspect of education is to provide enriching experiences and opportunities to develop and nurture an individual's skills and aptitude. BASE, the city based premier educational training organization providing quality training for IIT-JEE, AIEEE, AIPMT, CET and COMEDK in Bangalore, has announced two innovative programmes for students that makes them better learners.
The NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) programme by BASE aims at training students to face the NTSE examinations held at the State and National levels. The NTSE examination to be held in October/November 2009 is conducted for students studying in Class VIII by NCERT to identify talented students. Students who successfully complete the two levels of NTSE will be awarded scholarships that enable the students to receive financial assistance up to the PHD level for studies in social sciences, basic sciences and commerce.
"The NTSE programme by BASE will begin in the first week of May. About 100 hours of classroom interaction imparted by highly competent faculty aided by electronic courseware will help the students to face the examinations successfully" said Dr. H.S. Nagaraja, Director and founder of BASE. .
Another programme called the N-Skills programme by BASE enables children to acquire life skills that will make them self-confident, creative, will promote self-awareness, and help them communicate effectively. The programme comprises of activities which are facilitated through different techniques like role- play, mind mapping, brain storming, debate, painting, crafts etc which makes learning fun-filled and effective.
The N-Skill program is devised by a team of professionals who have done extensive research and have worked in the area of children's Education. N-Skill organizes the skill of life into four areas namely-Communication, Structured thinking which involves, Beyond Structure and the area of Attitudes and values.
The programmes are aimed at children studying in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th classes. The first batch will begin on the 6th of April and the second batch will begin on the 10th of May. The admissions for both the programmes will be on the basis of first come-first serve basis. The programmes are available in all the centres of BASE in Karnataka.
