AMU Prof. gets invitation to participate in training programme on HIV

Aligarh: Dr. M. Athar Ansari of the Aigarh Muslim University (AMU) has been invited to participate in "An Intensive Training Programme on HIV/AIDS and Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission" scheduled to be held at Boromarajonani College and Bamrasnaradura Institute of Medical Sciences, Chang Wat, Muang, Nonthaburi, Thailand.

Dr. Ansari is working as a reader in the Department of Chemistry of the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College of the University.

This programme will focus on various aspects of HIV/AIDS transmission including current scenario, epidemiology, diagnostic methods, investigations, counseling, prevention and treatment of opportunistic infections.

After the training, participants are supposed to apply the knowledge, gained for work related to prevention of mother to child transmission.

Dr. Ansari will proceed to Thailand on 18th May and will remain their upto 22nd May.
